Public Dream Frances Leviston

> Tutoring

From 2009 I will be offering hour-long tutorial sessions in Sheffield
.

How does it work?
You can send up to 10 pages of your own poetry, and I will read them in them advance. During the tutorial you will receive focused feedback from me on the poems you send and on any other poetry-related topics you wish to raise. I will also give you written notes to take away with you at the end of the session.

What will I get out of it?
Specific, constructive, honest appraisals of your work in progress. Guidance on moving forward with your writing. Advice, should you need it, on magazine submissions, publishing and promoting your work. Suggestions for further reading. Most of all, I aim to help you find clarity and excitement about the possibilities for your own writing.

What experience do you have?
In addition to the professional details on my About page, I have taught creative writing workshops and tutorials over the past 5 years for organisations including: The Poetry School; Cambridge WordFest; Beverley Literature Festival; the University of St Andrews; Tower Poetry at Christ Church College, Oxford; and St Paul's Girls' School. In 2010, I will be teaching a residential Arvon course.

How much does it cost?
The price is £40 for a one-hour tutorial. This includes private meeting-room hire and one hour minimum of preparation time. I offer a reduced price of £35 for students, over 60s and those who are currently on benefits. If you would like a longer session or some other special arrangement, please contact me to discuss your requirements.

How do I book?

Send me a message through my contact form and I will email you back to arrange a time.
