I have taught poetry workshops for arts and educational organisations including the Arvon Foundation, the Poetry School, Oxford University and Cambridge WordFes, and I offer some individual tutorials and mentoring by correspondence or in person to poets working towards their first magazine and pamphlet publications: please contact me for further details about this kind of intensive work.

I have also worked extensively with teenagers and young people as a Poet-in-Residence at St Paul’s Girls’ School and South Hampstead High School, a tutor on schools Arvon courses, a mentor for young women poets for the Writing Squad, and a tutor on the Tower Poetry Summer School at Christ Church, Oxford.

In 2012 I began to organise and teach short poetry courses for adults in Sheffield. The first course, Taking Form, ran in May 2012, and details of further courses and workshops will appear in the Notebook section of the website.

If you would like an informal discussion about booking me for teaching work, or if you would like to be added to the mailing list to find out about the workshops, courses and mentoring with which I’m involved, please use the contact form to get in touch.
